Hubballi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath claimed here on Thursday there was social unrest in Karntaka as the state government was sheltering jihadi elements.
Addressing a BJP rally in Sirsi , he alleged that terrorists like Yasin Bhatkal were now calling the shots in the state unlike in Uttar Pradesh, where such “jihadis” could not raise their “ugly heads” despite its 23 crore population.
The fiery saffron party leader also held Chief Minister Siddaramaiah responsible for the murders of BJP and Hindu activists in the state and charged that law and order had collapsed in Karnataka.
“The Congress government in the state is trying to divide society in the name of caste and religion. The killing of around 23 Hindu activists in the state provides enough proof of this. So we must make Karnataka Congress-free,” he stressed.
Lauding controversial Union Minister, Anant Kumar Hegde, the UP Chief Minister said that around two lakh youth had managed to get employment in his state through his skill development programmes. “The common man was not safe in Uttar Pradesh before the BJP came to power. Investors were hesitating to come to the state due to the presence of criminals and jihadi elements. Now, the state has undergone a tremendous change as we have investors coming and criminals and jihadi elements have been wiped out,” he maintained.
Also, accusing the Siddaramaiah government of being responsible for the rising suicides among the state’s farmers, he said there was no case of suicide in Uttar Pradesh as the farmers there were happy after he waived off their loans and took other measures to help them.
