Bengaluru: With Union Parliamentary Affairs and Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister H.N. Ananth Kumar confined to a hospital in New York where he celebrated his 60th birthday last week, there are unconfirmed reports that his wife Tejaswini may replace him as the BJP candidate for the Bengaluru South constituency he has represented six times, in the Lok Sabha polls.
Mr Kumar had flown to London last month for a check-up and was later admitted to the New York hospital with sources saying he is suffering from an advanced stage of cancer. His office in Bengaluru, has denied these reports. Tejaswini runs Adamya Chetana, a voluntary organisation.
