Siddaramaiah’s CM again remark not to upset HDK, says HM Revanna

Bengaluru: Kuruba strongman Siddaramaiah’s close aide and former minister H.M. Revanna declared on Sunday that the former can never be isolated in the party as his close association with the Congress top brass is well known to all in the party.

Speaking to reporters after his closed door meeting with Water Resources Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Mr Revanna said, “Mr Siddaramaiah is well entrenched in the party set-up. Despite his loss in the Assembly election, the party has appointed him  Congress legislature party leader and co-ordination committee chairman too. He has been given enough importance there is no doubt about it. Such being the case, how can anyone say he has been isolated in the party?”

According to him, Mr Siddaramaiah made the remarks on his wish to become CM again, not to upset Mr Kumaraswamy but to instill confidence among party workers.
