A Congress screening committee headed by senior leader Madhusudan Mistry will camp in Bengaluru for two days starting Thursday.
Mistry, along with committee members Tamradhwaj Sahu and Gaurav Gogoi (both Members of Parliament) are slated to assess the partys situation ahead of the polls and go over reports from observers on candidates who deserve to be given tickets. The committee will also hold meetings with presidents of the partys district units as part of the stock-taking exercise.
The party has issued over 3,000 ticket applications since February 26, when the process started.
