Metro train services to stations beyond RV Road resumed from 5 pm on Sunday with the technical staff finishing the maintenance work on a rail earlier than expected.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited had suspended services to Banashankari, JP Nagar and Yelachenahalli metro stations till 5 am on Monday due to the maintenance work on a track at a crossover section.

“Our in-house maintenance staff worked from Saturday night till this (Sunday) afternoon to make this possible. The track testing has also been completed and hence the train services from Banashankari Metro Station to Yelachanahalli Metro Station will be available to the commuters from 7 pm,” BMRCL public relations officer U A Vasanth Rao said in a release.
