K. Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament-2018, played at JSS-SJCE Grounds here yesterday.

Andhra, after surrendering a 91-run first innings lead to MP, have scored 166 for one in 53 overs. Opener D.B. Prashanth Kumar (83 n.o., 12x4s) and one-drop batsman Jyothi Sai Krishna (62 n.o., 10x4s) have added 131-runs for the second wicket and will resume tomorrow to carry on their fight-back.

In the other Group ‘D’ tie at SDNR Wadiyar Grounds, KSCA Colts, following on against Gujarat CA (42 for no loss), batted well to end the day at 287 for 7 in 107 overs. Openers S.J. Nikin Jose (59, 133b, 7×4) and Ankith Udupa (58,164b,8×4,1×6) gave them a good start by adding 132-runs for the opening wicket. N.G. Sujith (57,8×4) and K.L. Srijith (34, 5×4, 1×6) further consolidated the innings by adding 72-runs for the third wicket. At stumps, KSCA Colts were 22-runs ahead, with M.B. Darshan (24 n.o.) & B.M. Shreyas 916 n.o.) at the crease.
