Karnataka govt demands unconditional apology from Palekar, Parrikar

Belagavi District in-charge Minister M B Patil said that stern action will be taken against Goa state, if its Irrigation Minister Vinod Palekar and its Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, do not unconditionally apologise for the foul language used to describe Kannadigas.

Patil assured on Monday, that after discussing the matter with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the Karnataka government will take action against its neighbour for Palekars remark calling Kannadigas haramis on Sunday.

The Karnataka Raskhana Vedike (Karave) activists and the state Working Committee of pro-Kannada organisations has urged the government to impose economic sanctions against Goa state.

“Goan minister Palekar has used foul language to divert the attention of the public from the drama Goa Chief Minister Parrikar and Karnataka BJP President B S Yeddyurappa have been enacting,” added Patil.
