Jigajinagi hits back at Kharge over sinners’ remark

Union Minister Ramesh Jigajinagi on Thursday hit back at Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge over his remarks on whether Dalits were sinners in response to the hue and cry over BJP leaders staying in houses in slum areas.

Instead, the minister described Dalit leaders in the Congress as sinners. Addressing a press conference, Jigajinagi said, “Dalits are not sinners, but those Dalits in the Congress are sinners”.

“Which party fielded a peon against Ambedkar to defeat him in the election? Who denied land for Ambedkars last rites? Why has anyone in the Congress not raised their voice against the injustice meted out to the architect of the Constitution?,” he asked Kharge.
