Indian Premier League 2018 auction: Sunrisers Hyderabad get back Rashid Khan for 9 cr

Bengaluru: Afghanistan young spinner Rashid Khan was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for 9 crores in IPL auction 2018 currently underway in Bengaluru.

Rashid who had a base price of 2 crore saw bidding war between Kings XI Punjab,Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils. The Punjab side had beaten the other two franchisee to win his signature, but Hyderabad used their Right to match card to buy their star bowler.    

Rashid Khan had a successful maiden season in the Indian Premier League last year. The Hyderabad franchisee brought the Afghan sensation for just 4 crore in the auction.

The leg spinner has certainly become favourite in T20 leagues around the world. In the ongoing Big Bash League in Australia, Rashid is representing Adelaide Strikers. Not only he has been sensational with the ball , he has managed to show that he is no mug with the bat either.

A very economical bowler, he has certainly deceived batsman around the world with his leg-break. His googly has been his biggest strength which he has used it to good effect to surprise the batsman. Rashid will once again look to dish out fantastic performance for the Hyderabnad franchisee.
