Fake driving licence racket: Four arrested in Kothanur

Bengaluru: The Kothanur police have arrested four people for cheating people by providing them fake driving licence.

The accused have been identified as Ajay Pasha, 30 and Sayed Jeelan, 30 both natives of Mandya, Sameer, 27 and Mohamed Rehamath, 50 both residents of J.P. Nagar.

According to the police, Mohamed and Sameer would approach the people saying they will get their driving licence done even without having to attend the test or any paperwork. The people would give them Aadhaar card and other identification documents.

They would demand Rs. 20,000 and assure them of providing driving licence in a month. The would then approach Ajay and Sayed to create a fake driving licence.

The incident came to light when one of the victims realised that the licence he received from them was fake and filed a complaint with the Kothanur police. The police have also seized 22 fake driving licences from the accused.
