Mysuru:  Bengali Association Mysooru has organised ‘Durga Puja’ celebrations at Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, near CFTRI Main Gate till Oct.19.

Complete with the rythm and beat of Dhakis and Dhunuchi Nach ritualistic dance, the celebrations conjure images of the fames celebrations at Kolkata. The life-size statue of Goddess Durga astride a Lion, flanked by Lakshmi, Ganesha, Saraswathi and Kartikeya is the centre of attraction at the Puja Mantap.

The celebrations, which began with Shasti today, will feature main puja on Oct.17 to mark Durgashtami and Visarjan on Oct.19. Bhog Prasad will be served every day during the celebrations.
