Drivers say no to unnecessary honking

About 3,250 drivers in the city have pledged not to unnecessarily horn while driving.

The Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) with Young Indians and Bangalore Traffic Police conducted a sensitisation drive and asked drivers to support Horn Not OK Please.

The Young Indians in 2006 had started the campaign to stop unnecessary use of horning in order to reduce sound pollution.

“We are excited with the support we have received from 3,250 drivers commuting to the Electronic City, who have pledged to use the horns only during emergencies. We look forward to the continued support from ELCITA and Bangalore Traffic Police,” said Dr Kaushik Murali of Young Indians.
