CM dedicates Pavagada solar plant to nation

The 600-MW unit I is part of the 2,000-MW environment friendly power plant proposed here.

In his speech, Energy Minister D K Shivakumar said Karnataka generated the highest quantum of solar power in the country, at 3,628 MW. He said the state was now self-reliant in electricity generation, in the face of tough challenges.
