BS Yeddyurappa, son indeed using tax tricks: CM HD Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru: While state BJP chief, B.S.Yeddyurappa and his son, B.Y. Vijayendra on Wednesday rubbished Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy’s claim that they were trying to destablise his government, the CM dug his heels in and maintained his statement was based on facts.

Strongly responding to Mr.Kumaraswamy’s claim that Mr. Vijayaendra had met Income Tax chief, Balakrishnan to create trouble for him, Mr.Yeddyurappa told reporters here that the Chief Minister was being irresponsible in making such a statement. “Why should we bother about his problems when we are busy resolving our own cases before the Supreme Court and High Court? Why should we meet the Income Tax chief or the ED? If Mr. Kumaraswamy has any evidence, he should come out with it or else not accuse someone unnecessarily,” he added.

Mr. Vijayendra too insisted that being a Chief Minister, Mr. Kumaraswamy should be more responsible in his statements “He is clearly feeling insecure. But when as Chief Minister he has full access to the state intelligence department, he should go it for feedback before making such statements,” he added. Former BJP minister, Aravind Limbavali also dismissed the Chief Minister’s allegation as baseless.

Mr. Kumaraswamy, however, stood by his remarks against the father and son duo. Speaking to the media , he said he had made them after getting the
confirmation he needed. “ I know for a fact that Vijayendra met the IT chief,” he said.

Asked about the BJP chief’s demand for evidence, he  shot back, “Should I follow father and son with a camera? When both have admitted that they met the I-T chief,  what more proof do they need?”
