BJP to include farmers’ demands in manifesto: Shah

But after the BJP came to power, suicide cases have declined by 30%. Similarly, the cases have declined in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh where the party is in power, he said.

If the BJP is voted to power in Karnataka, Raita Mitra scheme will be announced immediately and measures will be taken for bettering the conditions of farmers. The BJP is committed to protecting the welfare of coconut, sugarcane and areca nut growers, he said.

Shah said Rajendra killed himself due to debts, but the BJP will stand by his family members. “I have collected rice from five houses in the village. The BJP will fulfil the demands of the farmers,” he said.
