Ballari-B’luru air service takes off

Ministry of Civil Aviation Joint secretary Usha Padhee on Thursday inaugurated air services between Ballari and Bengaluru under the Central governments regional connectivity scheme (RCS) UDAN.

“JSW has joined hands with the government for the air services. There are vehicular parking, canteen, tarmac, hanger and reverse osmosis filter facilities at the Jindal Vijaynagar Airport (JVA) which will witness the investment of Rs 78 crore in the next two years,”she said and added: “An amount of Rs 2.4 crore will be spent for passenger safety.”

The fare between Ballari and Bengaluru will be Rs 1,033 till the end of March.

The flight departs JVA at 2 pm and arrives in Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru, at 3 pm.

In the onward journey, the flight departs KIA at 3.30 pm and arrives in JVA at 4.30 pm.
