30% PU evaluators absent on Day One

The evaluation of second-year pre-university answer scripts began on Monday. The examinations were held from March 1 to 17 across the state.

A total of 53 camps have been set up across the state for evaluation. Appointment orders had been sent to 3,773 chief evaluators and 20,281 assistant evaluators.

On the first day, roughly 16,000 evaluators or about 70% of the appointed evaluators were present at their assigned centres, said C Shikha, director of the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE). Notices would be issued to lecturers who did not report on on the first day, Shikha said.
